Dancing To A Treble

Apr 11, 2016

We saddled up five runners at two meetings on Sunday, delighted to cheer home three winners, the third of which was Dance With Fontein who continued her rich vein of form in the final event at Pakenham.

The winner of three of her last four starts, the Turffontein filly was up in class but showed that she is up to even better things with a dominant 3/4 length victory.

Settling off pace and hitting the lead inside the 200m, Dance With Fontein was strong to the line and Ryan Maloney was delighted with her performance.

"Since winning her maiden she has come ahead in leaps and bounds," he said, "she is going really well."

"I was a bit worried at the 600m," he admitted, "as she dropped the bit and lost her composure but when I asked her for an effort she quickened up nicely. To her credit she dug deep and won nicely."

"She has had a fantastic preparation," said Beth Schroen.

"The rolling tempo really suited her today and she just keeps getting better and better, she looks to have a bright future."

Raced by Nichakorn Asana, Neville Garland, Sheila Garland, Michael Phillips, Angus Mcdougall, David Gordon, Andrew Adams, Ben Reus, Ray Mclean, Shane Spratling, Lei Krauser, Robbie Griffiths, Rhys Garland, Sam Garland, Shane Brennan and Jeffrey Smith, Dance With Fontein is a daughter of the two times winning Geiger Counter mare Nuclear Dance who has also produced the city winners Nuclear Force and Turf Crusher.
