A Quiet Achiever

Nov 28, 2016

It was good to see Quiet Order break through for an overdue maiden victory in trying conditions at Yarra Valley on Saturday, the consistent three-year-old having been a game Pakenham second at her previous outing.

Travelling nicely on pace for Max Allen, the daughter of Commands took the lead approaching the 150m and gave a good kick - her winning margin a soft and impressive two lengths.

Raced by Bekdon Richards Racing, Quiet Order is a nicely bred filly with good broodmare potential being out of the two times winning Dubai Destination mare How Discreet.

Whilst Dubai Destination is really making a name for himself as a broodmare sire, How Discreet is a young mare with Quiet Order her first foal whilst her second Seveneez by Exceed And Excel is a recent trial winner in Sydney.

Producing a colt and a filly by champion sire Snitzel at her last two years at stud, How Discreet is a daughter of the excellent broodmare Oh So Discreet, stakes placed dam of eight winners including the Gr.1 Australasian Oaks winner Maybe Discreet.

Also dam of the Gr.3 winner Just Discreet and the stakes placed Always Discreet, she is out of the stakes winner Halo Again, also dam of stakes winners Be Discreet, Gilded Angel, She's Discreet, Oahu and My Advocator.

This is a prolific black type family, one that has also been represented by the stakes winners Very Discreet, I'm Discreet, Serenely Discreet, Forever Discreet, Oriental Ruler, Halo Again and Firing Range.
