An Enthusiastic Performance

Blinkers did the trick for Saveyourenthusiasm at Bairnsdale on Sunday, the three-year-old quickly improving off an unplaced debut run at Stony Creek last month.

Whilst he did not show a great deal at that first start, the bay does have his share of ability and with the shades added was able to show his best - getting back in a 1200m maiden and swamping his rivals from the 250m.

Racing clear in the run home, Saveyourenthusiasm put 3 3/4 lengths on his rivals, winning in the style of a horse with more to offer.

Bred in New Zealand, Saveyourenthusiasm is a son of the W.S Cox Plate winner Savabeel and the city winning Danasinga mare Curbyourenthusiasm. All four of her progeny to race are winners and she is a daughter of the Gr.3 winning mare Starcet from the family of Group One winners Vanbrugh, Sacred Star and Diademe.
