City Loves To Win

Oct 23, 2017

It did not take long for Love In The City to hit winning form this time in, the consistent four-year-old at only her second run back from a spell proving too strong for her rivals over 1200m at Mornington on Sunday.

Jumping well to sit outside the fast leader Another Diamond on a strong pace, Love In The City settled nicely, cruising into the straight.

Hitting the lead with 200m to go, she was challenged over the final stages but just kept fighting - tough to the line.

"It was great to see Love In The City win," Robbie Griffiths said.

"She was terrific when resuming and aided by a beautiful ride by Jye everything went her way and she got the job done, sticking her head out where it counted."

Bred by her managing part owner John Brown, Love In The City is by Larneuk Stud's underrated Randwick Guineas winner Ilovethiscity and the two times winning Western Symphony mare Star Cast - also dam of the two times winner Sportscaster.
