It took a few runs for Fabrication to break through for her maiden win but having done so at Moe a couple of weeks ago she was able to go right on with the job at Echuca on Monday - the second leg of a winning double for the stable and the third of four for Jye McNeil.
Beginning well from a tricky gate, Fabrication settled a touch better than midfield in a strongly run race and was always travelling well. Able to edge closer turning, she was three wide and clear into the straight - cruising up her rivals at the 200m.
Getting clear from the 100m, the three-year-old impressed McNeill who noted that she travelled into the race much more easily than she did when saluting at Moe, perhaps better suited on a bigger track.
"She got a beautiful run, there was good speed in the race."
"She had a good look around when she got to the front but she has really come on since her win at Moe and she gave me a really nice feeling."
Noting that "Robbie has had a big opinion of her," Ryan Griffiths said that the daughter of Hard Spun "has just taken a bit of time to mature."
"There is a restricted fillies race in the city that she may go for and the way she put them away today, I think she is up to that."
