So You Win!

Oct 21, 2018

It was not the plan for So You Dream to make the pace in the BM58 1400m contest at Bendigo on Sunday but so well did he begin from barrier 9 that jockey Brad Rawiller was happy to have him cruising in that position.

Cornering beautifully, the promising four-year-old stayed close to the rails as others fanned and he had them all off the bit from the turn - giving a lovely kick in the run home to salute by 1 3/4 lengths with plenty in hand... his second success from just ten starts.

"He just bounced out of the gates and relaxed," Rawiller reported adding that he was "strong to the line."

"He did a good job under top weight and was the best horse in the race," he said.

"He has had a great preparation," Robbie said, noting that "class prevailed."

"I am sure he will now push through his grades."

Spotted by Robbie and Peter Ford at the 2016 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, So You Dream is by the dual W.S Cox Plate winner So You Think out of the imported Danehill Dancer mare Dreamalittledream.

Also dam of the handy South African galloper Mackdesi and the lightly raced Flemington placegetter Just Remember This, Dreamalittledream recently produced a filly by Territories and she has yet to be named youngsters by Wandjina and Hallowed Crown.

A descendant of the influential matriarch Marchetta, So You Dream can boast amongst her immediate relations the stakes winners Killibegs, Furious Belle, Crystal Gazing, Conroy, Boreas and Miss Starlight.
