Night Shines

Dec 16, 2015

Tough four-year-old Nightcraft has been in work for a while but he continues to thrive, at Werribee on Sunday finishing strongly to record his third victory.

Settling well midfield for Andrew Mallyon, the consistent Starcraft four-year-old took a gap when it came in the straight - finding the line in determined fashion.

"He has been racing well this preparation," Robbie said, "so it was nice that he could put another win on the board."

"Andrew Mallyon gets along well with him and he showed that with another perfect ride. It is great for the owners to be rewarded."

A bargain $34,000 purchase at the 2013 Melbourne Premier sale, Nightcraft is a handsome chestnut out of the city winning Catbird mare Night And Day.

Also dam of the metropolitan winners Bring Back and Around The Clock, she is a half-sister to the VRC Derby hero Nothin' Leica Dane.

Congratulations to owners Robbie Griffiths, Barbara D Gallaher, Adam Smith, Don Hutt, Alan Wheatley, Trudy Brewster, June Anderson, John Gallaher, Jillian Stewart, George Giampietri, Lloyd Palmer, Susan Plummer, Eddie Mick & Me (manager Peter Adsett), Fatback Racing (manager Matt Blair) and Middle Court Racing (manager Nick Court).
