No Doubting Flash!
Jun 07, 2015
It was a big quadrella dividend at Moonee Valley on Saturday and our lovely girl Flash Of Doubt contributed to a big day for some lucky punters with fast finishing victory in the Cafetto Evo Handicap.
Nicely primed for the 1200m contest at her third run this preparation, the talented six-year-old did a bit of work out wide but was always travelling well for Jye McNeil who had her posed to threaten from the turn.
Too strong down the outside, Flash Of Doubt found the line close to home and was tough recording the eighth success of her consistent 46 start career.
A bargain $17,000 yearling purchase who has amassed over $275,000 in stakes, Flash Of Doubt is a Gr.3 placed mare who has won six times at metropolitan level - a wonderful mare for her happy owners Mandy Allen, Colin Bell, Rob Davey, Maurice Sinclair, Wally Trautsch, Graeme Colless and The Band Of Brothers.
Jye McNeil was delighted to win his second race aboard Flash Of Doubt who he had thought was a winning chance at her previous outing at Caulfield.
"She did today what I expected her to do last time but she just got into a bit of bother that day."
"Today she was just too good. Approaching the turn I thought she was just going to whack away but she really picked up in the run home."
Don Healy was also happy, noting that the daughter of Not A Single Doubt had improved since her second up run.
"She has really muscled up since then and she was great today - really strong to the line."
Bred in South Australia by Summerset Park Stud, Flash Of Doubt is out of the city winning Bluebird mare Resplendent, also dam of the winners All Australian Gal, All American Boy and Galactic Spirit.
