Darcy Bolts In
Dec 24, 2015
Deriving great benefit for a strong first up performance, it did not take long for Darcy's Law to find winning form this time in - the lightly raced four-year-old impressing with a runaway victory at Echuca on Thursday.
Sitting outside the leader off a good beginning, the daughter of High Chaparral was always travelling well for Damian Lane and after taking over with 200m to go she was off an away - her winning margin an impressive four lengths.
"She is a mare who has always shown talent," Robbie Griffiths said, confident that the best is still to come.
"She will improve as we run her over longer trips."
"Damian Lane put her into a perfect position today and it was great to see her win in such dominant style."
A NZ$110,000 2013 Karaka Premier purchase raced by Miller Thoroughbreds Pty Ltd (manager Austin Miller), Darcy's Law is out of the imported Red Ransom mare Whiffle.
Also dam of the stakes placed Kona Breeze, Whiffle hails from the family of the Gr.1 winners Mission Critical, Nedawi, Dahar, Rivlia, Delegant, Dahlia's Dreamer and Rite Of Passage. Her third dam is one of the legends of the European turf, the superstar mare Dahlia.
