A Winning Moment

May 30, 2015

It looked no easy task for Moment Of Pride at Sale on Thursday, the promising three-year-old drawing barrier 15 in a big field at debut.

And he did have to do a bit of early work, caught wide before pressing on to sit outside the leader - but once there he travelled well for Steven Arnold.

Joining the lead turning, Moment Of Pride was soon left alone with the long Sale straight ahead of him - but he just kept going, finding the line in determined and impressive fashion.

It was a great result for owner/breeders the Murray family who also raced Moment Of Pride's two times stakes placed Flemington winning dam Bold Moment.

And what a great job she is doing at stud - her first three foals all making it to the track and all winning their first start!

Rise For Reilly was successful at his Geelong debut last winter whilst Bold Moment's two-year-old Labdien won her first start at Warwick Farm late last month.

A son of Choisir (pictured), Moment Of Pride is a grandson of the two times Group winning Redding mare Flushed from the family of stakes winners Come On Lady, Stockwell Lass, Vee For Victory, Beserk, Silky Dancer and Show Ego.
