Double For Dance
Mar 08, 2016
A rise in class proved no barrier to success for Dance With Fontein who was impressive saluting at Kyneton on Monday - recording her second easy win in a row.
Settling nicely from barrier three for Jye McNeil, the promising three-year-old hooked out into the clear and the turn, quickly picking up her rivals enroute to a half length victory.
The addition of a tongue tie to Dance With Fontein's gear has worked wonders, the daughter of Turffontein getting her tongue over the bit when fifth at Pakenham last month.
And she has been settling better, in the past inclined to "go a bit hard."
"She got cover today which helped her relax," McNeil said, adding that the bay still has a bit to learn.
"She got a bit lost at the turn but once she straightened up she got to the line really well. It was good that she was able to improve on her maiden win today."
Raced by Nichakorn Asana, Neville Garland, Sheila Garland, Michael Phillips, Angus Mcdougall, David Gordon, Andrew Adams, Ben Reus, Ray Mclean, Shane Spratling, Lei Krauser, Robbie Griffiths, Rhys Garland, Sam Garland, Shane Brennan and Jeffrey Smith, Dance With Fontein is a daughter of the two times winning Geiger Counter mare Nuclear Dance who has also produced the city winners Nuclear Force and Turf Crusher.
