We win the first at Racing.Com Park!

It was a thrill for everyone at the stable to win the very first race at Australia's newest racetrack, Racing.Com Park at Tynong on Thursday.

"It is absolutely sensational to be a part of history," Robbie enthused, adding that he was particularly happy to win the race with the promising filly Faction.

"I loved her at the yearling sales and she is a filly who has always shown a bit."

"She has had a few issues along the way so we have had to be patient but hopefully that will pay dividends now."

A gutsy first up second behind subsequent stakes placegetter Ready To Fight when resuming at Sandown late last month, the daughter of Encosta de Lago pulled up sore suffering from an irregular heartbeat.

Quickly recovering, Faction was amongst the favourites on Thursday and she travelled well throughout for Mark Zahra, settling nicely mid-field and finishing on strongly in the run home to win by a soft 1 1/4 lengths.

Raced by her co-breeders Coolmore Stud with Robbie, Colin Pearce, Tony Penglase, Neville Blake, John Levonis and Triamps Racing,
Faction caught Robbie's eye at the 2013 Magic Millions where she was secured for $380,000.

A granddaughter of the Golden Slipper winner Polar Success, Faction is the first foal produced by the city winning Redoute's Choice mare Fiction.

A filly with plenty of residual value, Faction hails from one of Australia's most prolific families, that of the Group One winners Starspangledbanner, Circles Of Gold, Elvstroem and Haradasun.
